The Art of Becoming
A Life Giving Developmental Journey into Adulthood
Programs for the journey from childhood to emerging adulthood
Growing up is about so much more than academics.
Young people are learning to understand their changing bodies, navigate emotions and relationships, discover who they are, make meaningful choices, and gradually take responsibility for the lives they are creating.
The Art of Becoming is a developmental pathway for young people ages 11–18, with accompanying programs for parents and educators.
Rooted in the work of Rose Tent, our programs weave together self-knowledge, emotional intelligence, body and fertility literacy, relationships, nature connection, creativity, life skills, biography, and rites of passage.
Programs may be offered as individual courses or as part of the larger developmental journey.

Preparing for the Threshold
How do I accompany rather than control this becoming?
Preparing for Puberty • Parenting the Becoming Adolescent • Parenting the Emerging Adult • Educator Workshops
Young people aren't meant to navigate adolescence alone.
Our parent and educator programs help adults better understand the developmental needs of adolescence while strengthening their capacity to remain connected, trustworthy guides.
Workshops explore puberty and adolescent development, communication, emotional needs, boundaries, sexuality and fertility conversations, relationships, technology, family values, independence, rites of passage, and the changing role of the adult.
Parent workshops may accompany youth programs or offered independently.
